Best Community Project
In 2017, during The Greater Richmond Association for Commercial Real Estate (GRACRE) annual awards ceremony, which recognizes and honors outstanding commercial real estate projects and transactions in the metropolitan Richmond region, The M Companies received the “Best Community Project” as the developer of the Black History Museum and Cultural Center of Virginia.

2023 Winner:
Minority Business of the Year
In March 2023, during the MBL Awards Dinner and Reception which allows the Metropolitan Business League to recognize and celebrate the success of the members, partners, and business leaders in the region with an emphasized focus on embracing the achievements that have been made and encouraging businesses to network with each other, the M Companies was awarded the Minority Business of the Year award.
Michael Hopkins was also featured as the MBL Member of the Month in June 2023.
